...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK IS CANCELLED...

Lifeguards are observing much weaker rip currents along the
Escambia County beaches today. The HIGH rip current risk is no
longer in effect.

...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...Escambia Coastal, Santa Rosa Coastal and Okaloosa
  Coastal Counties.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The rip current risk will become MODERATE
  by early this evening as swell continues to subside along with
  surf.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
