THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS KENTUCKY INTO SOUTHWEST
VIRGINIA TONIGHT...AND BRING A CHANCE OF SOME SNOW LATE TONIGHT
ACROSS THE MID STATE. THE BEST CHANCE OF ANY ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL
BE ALONG THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU WHERE UP TO 1 INCH WILL BE POSSIBLE.
AREAS FROM MACON COUNTRY TO GRUNDY COUNTY COULD SEE UP TO ONE HALF
INCH. ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF MIDDLE TN...A DUSTING OR NO
ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED.

IN ADDITION TO THE SNOWFALL THREAT...AREAS ACROSS THE EASTERN HALF
OF MIDDLE TN MAY ENCOUNTER SOME PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE EARLY MONDAY
MORNING. SINCE LOW TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE BEWTEEN 30 AND
32 DEGREES...THIS WILL ONLY SERVE TO FURTHER AGGREVATE THE
POTENTIALLY DIFFICULT DRIVING CONDITIONS.

MOTORISTS...PARTICULARLY THOSE ALONG THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU AND THE
EASTERN HALF OF THE MID STATE...ARE URGED TO DRIVE CAREFULLY. BLACK
ICE IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE AND CAN CREATE A VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING
SITAUTATION.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

A FEW SNOW SHOWERS MAY LINGER ALONG THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU
EARLY...AND COULD PRODUCE A FEW SLICK SPOTS ON AREA ROADWAYS.

.SPOTTER CALL TO ACTION STATEMENT...

SPOTTERS AND LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS ARE ENCOURAGED
TO REPORT ANY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
IN NASHVILLE.
