An upper level ridge of high pressure will push east across North Dakota today, with an active weather pattern developing tonight and lasting through much of the weekend. Across the prescribed burn area this afternoon, a frontal boundary will remain to the west through the afternoon hours, maintaining a southerly wind with a few gusts to near 20 mph. This frontal boundary will slowly move east tonight into Friday, when winds will transition to more northeasterly during the day Friday.
