...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 2 AM
EDT SUNDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 8 to
17 inches.
* WHERE...Portions of northern New York and northern Vermont.
* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 2 AM EDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Weight
of the snow on tree limbs may cause scattered power outages.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour
are expected during the day on Saturday. Snow character may
become wet by Saturday afternoon, especially as one goes
southward.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
Please allow extra time if travel is necessary.

EDT SUNDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy wet snow and mixed precipitation expected. Total
snow accumulations of 9 to 16 inches and ice accumulations of up
to one tenth of an inch.
* WHERE...Orange, Western Rutland, Eastern Rutland, Western
Windsor and Eastern Windsor Counties.
* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 2 AM EDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Weight
of the snow on tree limbs may cause numerous power outages.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heavy snow will gradually change to a
wintry mix and possibly even plain rain from south to north
during the day on Saturday. Precipitation may change back to
heavy snow before ending.

ending from west to east on Saturday.
