The National Weather Service in Des Moines  has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Cass County in southwestern Iowa...
  Adair County in southwestern Iowa...

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 712 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Bridgewater,
  or 12 miles west of Greenfield, moving northeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Greenfield, Adair, Fontanelle, Massena, Bridgewater, Greenfield
  Municipal Airport, and Nodaway Park.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 76 and 90, and near
mile marker 92.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

This thunderstorm is capable of producing all types of severe weather
including extremely large hail, destructive straight line winds and
tornadoes. Move quickly to a safe shelter such as an interior room, a
bathroom, closet or basement.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for south central
and southwestern Iowa.
