...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN WYANDOTTE...
SOUTHWESTERN LEAVENWORTH AND NORTHWESTERN JOHNSON COUNTIES THROUGH
1000 PM CDT...

At 932 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Eudora, or 8 miles southwest of De Soto, moving north at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Shawnee, Bonner Springs, De Soto, Tonganoxie, Basehor, Kansas City,
Linwood, Fairmount, Jarbalo, Piper, and Clearview City.

This includes Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 211 and 225.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for northeastern
and east central Kansas.
