The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a Red Flag Warning due to strong winds and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 10 AM MST /11 AM MDT/ to 7 PM MST /8 PM MDT/ Monday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...Locations near Chinle, Dilkon, Eagar- Springerville, Holbrook, Kayenta, Kykotsmovi, Prescott, Prescott Valley, Saint Johns, Seligman, Shonto, Snowflake-Taylor, Tuba City, Valle, and Winslow. * WINDS...Southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts 45 to 55 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...5 to 15 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that start will have the potential to rapidly grow in size and intensity before first responders can contain them. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring or are imminent.
