GREENVILLE...SOUTHERN YORK...SOUTHEASTERN SPARTANBURG AND UNION
COUNTIES THROUGH 545 PM EDT...
At 456 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 13 miles southwest of York to 10 miles south of
Union to 4 miles north of Laurens. Movement was southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Rock Hill, Laurens, Union, Chester, Clinton, Lesslie, Great Falls,
Monarch Mill, Joanna, and Buffalo.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
Upstate South Carolina.
