.DISCUSSION...
A strong low pressure system currently located over the Dakotas
is currently bringing strong flow aloft into our forecast area.
This flow will result in strong winds throughout the windy
Mojave Desert Slopes of the Kern County Mountains. There is a
51% chance that winds in Mojave will gust to 40 mph. As such, a
High Wind Warning has been issued for the Mojave Desert Slopes
and is valid through 2am tomorrow morning.

A warming trend will take place today through early next week.
By Sunday of this week, high temperatures in the San Joaquin
Valley have a 60-80% chance of reaching 90 degrees as you move
southward. These temperatures will be warmer through Tuesday.

The aforementioned low pressure system will begin to progress
back westward, and with it and the resultant flow could result
in some mountain thunderstorms Friday through the weekend.
However, probabilities for these thunderstorms are low, under
20%.
