...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 900 AM CDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN MARSHALL AND SOUTHERN DEKALB COUNTIES...

At 841 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Crossville, or
13 miles south of Rainsville, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Albertville, Fort Payne, Boaz, Crossville, Geraldine, McVille, Dog
Town, Collbran, Little River Canyon NP, and Skirum.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 AM CDT for north central
and northeastern Alabama.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
