391 FZUS61 KBUF 081406 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 1006 AM EDT Wed May 8 2024 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 29.5 inch low will track eastward across New England today. Another 29.5 inch low over the mid section of the nation tonight will move to the Ohio Valley Thursday then off the east coast Thursday night and Friday. A weak 29.8 ridge will then slide across the lake Friday night, with a 29.6 inch trough then forecast to approach the Lower Great Lakes Saturday. A 29.9 inch high will move into the Great Lakes region Sunday.
