Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.6 inch high pressure over the Northern Plains
will weaken to 30.5 inches by this evening as 29.3 inch low
pressure remains over northern Quebec. This high moves to the
central plains by Sunday morning and weakens to 30.3 inches over
the southern plains by Sunday evening. A brief period of 30.1 inch
high pressure meanders south out of the Canadian Prairies Sunday
night into Monday before broad 29.5 inch low pressure begins
moving eastward into the Great Lakes on Tuesday. This low moves
near northern Lake Superior Tuesday morning at 29.5 inches and
progressively weakens to 29.6 inches while heading towards
southern Ontario by Wednesday evening. A 30.3 inch high pressure
over northern Ontario then moves over Lake Superior in its wake
Wednesday.
