.Discussion...
High pressure lingers over the local area into this weekend, with
prevailing dry conditions. Sensitive fire weather conditions will
continue through the period, due to east to southeast winds 10-14mph,
especially along the coast through late week. Min RH values will
continue to reach critical levels over the interior, but the Red
Flag potential will be limited by lower wind speeds. Forecast min
RH values as low as 30-35% for interior locations. Along the coast,
where winds will be higher, min RH values are forecast to remain
40-50%. Good to very good dispersion is expected each afternoon.
Temperatures will continue to increase into this weekend, becoming
well above normal. Highs in the lower 80s to near 90 Wednesday will
increase to the upper 80s to mid-90s by Saturday.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
