.Discussion...A drier airmass that has moved into the area will
linger through late week. This will again lead to sensitive fire
weather conditions across the area, mainly over the interior
where critically low RH values are expected each afternoon
through Friday. Minimum RH values in the afternoon across inland
areas are forecast to fall as low as the mid to upper 30s today,
the upper 20s to mid 30s Wednesday and Thursday, and mid to upper
30s on Friday. Onshore flow will keep RH values a little higher
near the coast, between 40 and 45 percent.
Northeast winds will range from 10 to 15 mph today, and then
decrease to 5 to 10 mph into Wednesday and Thursday as they veer
to the east-southeast. Easterly winds will then increase into
Friday, to around 15 mph during the afternoon. Dispersion will
be Very Good today and range from Generally Good to Very Good on
Wednesday.
Fog potential and other remarks...Fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
