...TROPICAL SYSTEM BILL INCOMING TO PROVIDE POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY
RAINS AND FLOODING LATER THIS WEEK...

LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN FELL ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI INTO
SOUTHERN ILLINOIS AND SOUTHWEST INDIANA OVERNIGHT. RAINFALL AMOUNTS
FROM 1 TO JUST OVER 2 INCHES WERE REPORTED IN SOME AREAS. LESSER
AMOUNTS WERE REPORTED SOUTH TOWARD THE OHIO RIVER AND INTO WEST
KENTUCKY. OVERALL...A DECREASE IN THE ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TODAY
THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY. THERE MAY BE POCKETS OF HEAVY RAIN AND
ISOLATED WATER PROBLEMS. HOWEVER WE DO NOT ANTICIPATE SIGNIFICANT
OR WIDESPREAD FLOODING TO DEVELOP OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS OR SO.

OUR FOCUS WILL BE ON THE REMNANTS OF BILL...FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS
THE AREA MIDDAY FRIDAY THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY. 1 TO 3 INCHES OF
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL IS FORECAST TODAY THROUGH SATURDAY
MORNING...MOST OF WHICH WILL FALL FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY IN
ASSOCIATION WITH THE REMNANTS OF BILL. HEAVIEST AMOUNTS WILL BE
NORTH OF A LINE FROM CAPE GIRARDEAU MISSOURI TO EVANSVILLE INDIANA.
THE ADDITIONAL RAINFALL ON SATURATED GROUND COULD LEAD TO FLOODING
OR FLASH FLOODING IN SOME AREAS. RIVERS WILL LIKELY BE IMPACTED AS
WELL.

STAY TUNED TO DAILY FORECASTS AND UPDATES FOR THE LATEST
INFORMATION ON HEAVY RAIN AND POTENTIAL FLOODING FOR YOUR LOCAL
AREA.
