THE FORECAST WET WEATHER PATTERN FOR THIS CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY
WEEKEND CONTINUES TO EVOLVE. A WARM FRONT LIFTING NORTHWARD ACROSS
THE REGION WILL SHIFT RAINS ACROSS SOUTHERN ILLINOIS...WITH POINTS
SOUTH OF THERE EXPERIENCING A SCATTERING OF SHOWERS AND LESSER
RAINFALL AMOUNTS INTO THIS EVENING AND THE EARLY OVERNIGHT HOURS.

ANOTHER ROUND OF RAIN DEVELOPS AND MOVES IN LATER TONIGHT AND
SUNDAY MORNING. THEN...ANOTHER RELATIVE PAUSE OCCURS LATER SUNDAY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING...WHICH IS FOLLOWED BY MORE SOAKING RAINS
INCOMING SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY.

WE`LL SEE PEAK STORM TOTAL AVERAGE RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN THE 3 TO 4
INCH RANGE ALONG THE LOWER OHIO RIVER VALLEY...TAPERING TO 2 TO 3
INCH AMOUNTS SOUTH AND EAST OF THERE....TOWARD THE PENNYRILE
REGION OF WESTERN KENTUCKY.

THESE ADDITIONAL RAINS WILL RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT RISES ACROSS
LOCAL STREAMS...CREEKS...AND SMALLER RIVERS. EVEN MAIN STEM RIVERS
SEE MARKED BUMPS IN THEIR FORECASTS. FLOOD PRONE AND LOW LYING
AREAS WILL SEE STANDING WATER AT TIMES. ADDITIONAL FLOOD
WATCHES...WARNINGS...OR ADVISORIES MAY BECOME NECESSARY DEPENDING
