Hydrologic Outlook
National Weather Service Paducah KY
324 PM CDT Wed Jun 21 2017

...Heavy rain likely late this week as a cold front meets the
moisture from Tropical Storm Cindy...

Numerous showers and thunderstorms will overspread our region on
Thursday morning and continue through Friday. Locally heavy
rainfall is possible as early as Thursday morning. However, the
highest potential of heavy rain will be Thursday night and Friday.

Average storm-total rainfall is currently predicted to range from
2 to 4 inches across western Kentucky, with 1 to 3 inches to the
north and west. However, persistent thunderstorms could produce
locally higher amounts. Flooding problems could develop,
especially in western Kentucky, where the ground is moist from
heavy rain this past weekend.

Stay tuned for later statements and possible Flash Flood Watches
or Warnings. Persons in flood-prone areas should review their
preparedness plans.
