FLOOD STATEMENT

...The flood warning is cancelled for the Ohio River affecting
   area in Illinois and Kentucky...

   At Shawneetown affecting Gallatin...Hardin...Crittenden
   and Union Counties.

.Minor flood conditions have come to an end along the Ohio River
at Shawneetown, Illinois. The river first climbed above the flood
stage of 33 feet during the early morning hours of April 5th, and
crested at 41.3 feet during the afternoon of April 11th.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning is cancelled for the Ohio River at Shawneetown.
* At 12 AM Friday the stage was 32.9 feet.
* Flood Stage is 33.0 feet.
* Fell below flood stage at 11:15 PM Thursday.
* Forecast...The river will fall to 30.7 feet by Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 33.0 Feet...Minor flooding occurs affecting mainly
  bottomland and surrounding low lying areas.
