following locations...affecting the indicated counties in Illinois...
Missouri and Kentucky...Minor flooding is occurring and Minor
flooding is forecast. See all of the details below...

  Mississippi River at...

     Cape Girardeau...affecting Alexander...Jackson...Union...Cape
                       Girardeau...Perry and Scott Counties.
     Thebes...........affecting Alexander and Scott Counties.

     New Madrid.......affecting Fulton...Mississippi and New Madrid
                       Counties.

.Heavy rainfall has caused river levels to rise on the Mississippi
River. At Cape Girardeau...Major flooding continues. The River will
continue to fall to a stage of 41.3 feet by Tuesday morning. At
Thebes...Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is
forecast. The River will continue to fall to a stage of 40.7 feet by
Tuesday morning. At New Madrid...Minor flooding is occurring and Minor
flooding is forecast. See all of the details below...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau
* until further notice.
* At  9:00 PM Sunday the stage was 42.4 feet.
* Flood Stage is 32.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The River will continue to fall to a stage of 41.3 feet
  by Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 42.0 Feet...Several homes and structures in southern
  Cape Girardeau County may be inundated or cut off due to backwater
  flooding from the Diversion Channel. Evacuations may be required.
  Thousands of acres are flooded. Numerous roads are closed both
  along the Mississippi River and due to backwater flooding.

* Flood Stage is 33.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The River will continue to fall to a stage of 40.7 feet
  by Tuesday morning.

* At  8:00 PM Sunday the stage was 36.0 feet.
* Flood Stage is 34.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 36.5 feet by
  Wednesday morning then begin falling.
* Impact...At 38.0 Feet...Heavy agricultural damage begins.
