FLOOD STATEMENT

...The flood warning continues for the Skillet Fork River affecting
   areas in southern Illinois...

   At Wayne City affecting Wayne and White Counties

.Water levels continue to slowly recede along portions of the
Skillet Fork River. Moderate flooding will continue into Thursday
with minor flood conditions developing tomorrow afternoon as the
river level continues to fall. Flooding is forecast to end at
Wayne City, IL early Friday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning continues for the Skillet Fork River at Wayne City.
* until Friday morning.
* At 7 PM Wednesday the stage was 18.9 feet.
* Flood Stage is 15.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will fall to below flood stage Friday morning.
