     Newburgh Dam....affecting Spencer...Vanderburgh...Warrick...
      Daviess and Henderson Counties.
     Mount Vernon....affecting Posey...Vanderburgh...Henderson
      and Union Counties.
     J.T. Myers Dam..affecting Posey and Union Counties.

     Shawneetown.....affecting Gallatin...Hardin...Crittenden
      and Union Counties.
     Cairo...........affecting Alexander...Pulaski...Ballard...
      Carlisle...Fulton...Hickman and
      Mississippi Counties.

.Heavy rainfall and snowmelt have caused river levels to rise on
the Ohio River. At these locations...Minor flooding is forecast.

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Ohio River at Owensboro
* from Saturday evening to Thursday March 12.
* At  7:11 AM Thursday the stage was 22.4 feet.
* Flood Stage is 40.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Saturday evening and continue
  to rise to near 42.3 feet by early Wednesday morning. The river
  will fall below flood stage by late Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 41.0 Feet...Minor flooding occurs affecting mainly
  bottomland and surrounding low lying areas.

  the Ohio River at Newburgh Dam
* from Friday morning to Sunday March 15.
* At  9:00 PM Thursday the stage was 35.2 feet.
* Flood Stage is 38.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Impact...At 46.0 Feet...Highway 662 near the old Lock and Dam 47
  begins to flood. This is approximately 1/2 mile downstream from the
  current lock and dam.

* from late Friday night until further notice.
* At  6:00 AM Wednesday the stage was 25.6 feet.
* Flood Stage is 35.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by early Saturday morning and
  continue to rise to near 41.8 feet by early Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 40.0 Feet...Farm land and some main roads are flooded in
  places southwest and west of Mt. Vernon.

* Flood Stage is 37.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Sunday morning and continue to
  rise to near 41.7 feet by Thursday morning. Additional rises are
  possible thereafter.

* Impact...At 43.0 Feet...Several county roads are closed.

  agricultural bottomland and low lying areas.
