FLOOD STATEMENT

...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois and Indiana...

  Wabash River..........at New Harmony...affecting Gallatin...
                        Wabash...White...Gibson and Posey Counties.
  Little Wabash River...at Carmi.........affecting Gallatin...Wayne
                        and White Counties.
  Patoka River..........near Princeton...affecting Gibson County.

.Heavy rainfall has caused river levels to rise at these locations.
At Carmi...Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is
forecast. The River will continue to fall to a stage of 31.9 feet
by Saturday morning. At New Harmony and near Princeton...Minor
flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast. See the
details below...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Little Wabash River at Carmi
* until further notice.
* At  9:30 PM Thursday the stage was 33.4 feet.
* Flood Stage is 27.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The River will continue to fall to a stage of 31.9 feet
  by Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 32.0 Feet...Flood waters flow up McHenry slough and
  areas near Route 1 and 14 in Carmi begin to flood.

  the Patoka River near Princeton
* until Tuesday morning.
* At  9:45 PM Thursday the stage was 18.9 feet.
* Flood Stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 18.9 feet by
  after midnight tomorrow. The river will fall below flood stage
  early Tuesday morning.

  the Wabash River at New Harmony
* until Sunday July 12.
* At  9:30 PM Thursday the stage was 18.6 feet.
* Flood Stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 18.8 feet by
  Tuesday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Sunday
  morning.
* Impact...At 19.0 Feet...Surrounding bottomland is flooded.  Harmonie
  State Park is closed.
