FLOOD STATEMENT

...The flood warning continues for the Black River affecting
   areas in southeast Missouri...

   At Poplar Bluff affecting Butler County

.Water levels have begun to recede along the Black River in the
community of Poplar Bluff, MO. Moderate flood conditions are
occurring at this time, with minor flood conditions developing
by this time tomorrow evening. Flooding is forecast to end
within the next 48 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning continues for the Black River at Poplar Bluff.
* until Thursday evening.
* At 7 PM Tuesday the stage was 20.1 feet.
* Flood Stage is 16.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will fall to below flood stage by
  Thursday afternoon.
