FLOOD STATEMENT

...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...Missouri...

  Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau

.Water coming downstream from the upper half of the Mississippi River
will send the gage at Cape Girardeau Missouri above flood stage on Tuesday
morning. It is expected to crest at 34.5 feet on Monday, July 14th.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau.
* from Tuesday evening until further notice.
* At  9:30 AM Sunday the stage was 31.2 feet.
* Flood Stage is 32.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Tuesday evening and will
  crest on Monday, July 14th.
* Impact...At 32.0 Feet...Minor flooding occurs.  The Mississippi
  River backs into several creeks producing flooding.
