...The National Weather Service in Paducah, Kentucky has issued a
flood warning for the Ohio River in Illinois...Kentucky and Missouri...

  At Cairo affecting Alexander...Pulaski...Ballard...
  Carlisle...Fulton...Hickman and Mississippi Counties

.Due to heavy rainfall across the area over the past 36 hours and anticipated
snow melt, minor flood conditions are forecast to develop at the confluence of the
Ohio and Mississippi Rivers at Cairo, IL.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

* Flood Warning for the Ohio River at Cairo.
* from Tuesday morning until further notice.
* At 11 AM Thursday the stage was 28.5 feet.
* Flood Stage is 40.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to near flood stage
  Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 40.0 Feet...Minor flooding occurs affecting mainly
  agricultural bottomland and low lying areas.
