FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR THE HEARTLAND
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
337 PM CST SUN MAR 1 2015

.DISCUSSION...

DUE TO SATURATED SOIL CONDITIONS AND EXISTING SNOWPACK
...EFFECTIVE DRYING OF FINE AND MEDIUM LOAD FUELS WILL
BE DELAYED. COLDER TEMPERATURES THROUGH MID-WEEK WILL
LIMIT EVAPORATION, BUT SOME DRYING SHOULD TAKE PLACE DURING
THE LATTER HALF OF THE WEEK.

ANOTHER WEATHER SYSTEM WILL CLIP THE SOUTHEAST HALF
OF THE HEARTLAND...MAINLY WEST KENTUCKY AND SOUTHWEST INDIANA
LATER TONIGHT...BRINGING A LIGHT WINTRY MIX.

DRY WEATHER WILL RETURN BRIEFLY ON MONDAY...BUT ANOTHER WEATHER
SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA TUESDAY...WITH PERIODIC CHANCES
FOR RAIN OR WINTRY PRECIPITATION LASTING THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

DRY WEATHER WILL THEN RETURN FOR THE LATTER PART OF THE WEEK...
WITH A SLOW WARMING TREND.
