Cloudy skies and unseasonably cool temperatures prevailed across
the Quad State area Friday. Several communities had reported brief
periods of light rain or drizzle throughout the day with little
more than a trace of accumulation expected. Morning lows were in
the mid 50s north to around 60 degrees along the Arkansas and
Tennessee borders. Afternoon highs had climbed very little, with
low to mid 60s reported.
With high pressure centered over northern Indiana by Saturday
evening, clouds will slowly start to erode through the weekend
but temperatures will remain below normal throughout the forecast
sunshine or not. Winds will be mainly north turning more east by
Sunday, an southerly by early next week.
