At early morning skies were mostly clear over the Heartland.
Temperatures ranged from the mid 30s north to the lower 40s south.
Winds were either calm or light out of the southeast.

A seasonably cold airmass will keep the region dry with below
normal temperatures today. With the passage of a weak weather
system, small precipitation chances are possible tonight through
Friday morning. A second system will bring greater chances for
showers and a few thunderstorms to all or part of the area from
mainly Sunday afternoon through Monday night. Temperatures will
warm to near normal by Friday, then In the wake of the late
weekend weather system, temperatures are expected to warm to above
normal readings by the middle of next week.
