SKIES WERE MOSTLY CLEAR ACROSS THE REGION EARLY MONDAY EVENING, BUT
CLOUDS WERE INCREASING FROM THE WEST DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. BY
4 AM,  A FEW SPRINKLES WERE MAKING THEIR WAY INTO SOUTHEAST
MISSOURI.  TEMPERATURES AT 4 AM RANGED FROM THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 30S
IN SOUTHERN ILLINOIS AND SOUTHWEST INDIANA, TO THE UPPER 40S ALONG
THE MISSOURI/ARKANSAS AND KENTUCKY/TENNESSEE BORDERS.

A MEANDERING FRONTAL BOUNDARY ACROSS OUR REGION WILL LIFT NORTH THIS
EVENING AS A WARM FRONT.  A COLD FRONT WILL THEN MOVE IN FROM THE
WEST LATE TONIGHT AND REMAIN IN THE AREA INTO THURSDAY.  SHOWERS
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE MAINLY ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST
MISSOURI, SOUTHERN ILLINOIS AND SOUTHWEST INDIANA TODAY, THEN
SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL SPREAD ACROSS THE ENTIRE REGION TONIGHT.
THERE MAY BE A BRIEF LULL IN THE ACTIVITY WEDNESDAY MORNING, BUT
NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL RETURN BY WEDNESDAY NIGHT
INTO THURSDAY.  SOME THUNDERSTORMS MAY BECOME SEVERE WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

MUCH COOLER CONDITIONS CAN BE EXPECTED THURSDAY AND INTO THE
WEEKEND, WITH NEAR TO BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES EXPECTED FOR
OVERNIGHT LOW THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT.  A WARMING
TREND WILL BEGIN ON SUNDAY.
