NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
215 PM CDT Tue Apr 15 2014
A wide spread of weather conditions occurred over the Quad State
area Tuesday, with clear to partly cloudy skies over much of
southeast Missouri and southern Illinois, and variable cloudy
skies elsewhere. Periods of light snow or sleet occurred from time
to time in parts of southwest Indiana. Morning lows were in the
low to mid 30s in many communities, with afternoon highs working
to get into the upper 40s to around 50 degrees which is still 20
to 25 degrees below normal.
A seasonably cold airmass overspreading the region will bring sub-
freezing temperatures and frost to the entire region overnight,
consequently a freeze warning is in effect. This airmass will
continue to produce dry conditions and below normal temperatures
through Thursday with highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s. Beyond
that temperatures will moderate a bit and a weather system will
bring small precipitation chances to the area from Thursday night
through Friday night.
