WEATHER SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
449 AM CDT Sun Aug 17 2014

Saturday started off cloudy and rainy across much of the region, but
dry weather took hold by afternoon and evening. Another round of
showers and thunderstorms rumbled across the area Saturday night.
The thunderstorms produced nearly continuous lightning and very
heavy rain. Early morning temperatures ranged from the lower to mid
70s.

A slow moving area of low pressure will keep the potential for
showers and thunderstorms in the forecast through the early week.
With more clouds around, temperatures will remain in the mid to
upper 80s through Monday.

An upper level ridge will build eastward into the Mississippi Valley
as we head into mid week. Storm chances will decrease as a result,
but heat and humidity will be on the increase. Expect highs in the
lower to mid 90s with heat index readings near the century mark
through the remainder of the week.
