WEATHER SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
300 PM CST Sat Dec 13 2014

Overcast skies greeted area residents this morning as temperatures
were in the mid 30s in the Pennyrile to the mid 40s over much of
southwest IL and southeast MO at 6am. With plenty of low level
moisture in place the stratus cloud deck overhead hasn`t budged all
day. Pockets of light drizzle and mist have also been seen from time
to time. Mid afternoon temperatures have risen into the mid 40s in
the east to low 50s in the west with a light southerly wind.

The clouds will be sticking around as we wrap up the weekend and
start the new work week. Some drizzle will be possible tonight into
tomorrow as plenty of low level moisture will be present. Surface
low pressure will track from the Central plains Sunday evening into
the Great Lakes by Tuesday morning which will drag a cold front
through the area. The result will be rain chances increasing
overnight Sunday night into Monday. High temperatures will be in the
50s through Monday before cooling off back into the upper 30s to low
40s by Wednesday through the rest of the work week. Tuesday and
Wednesday appear dry with precipitation chances coming back into the
picture by Wednesday night and Thursday
