WEATHER SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
200 PM CDT Tue Oct 21 2014

Typical late October morning occurred with lows down into the low to
mid 40s under clear skies and light winds. Abundant sunshine has led
to a nice warmup especially across southeast Missouri where
afternoon temperatures are pushing the mid 70s. A rather sharp
gradient exists across the area due to northeast winds advecting
cooler weather into the region. Temperatures in southern IL and
southwest IN are only in the mid 60s as a result.

High pressure at the surface and aloft will be seen across the
Quad-State region tonight through Thursday with clear skies
and dry air leading to a larger than normal diurnal temperature
swing. Lows tonight will bottom out in the upper 30s to lower 40s
with even colder lows tomorrow night into the mid to upper 30s when
patchy frost is possible particularly east of the Mississippi River.
High temperatures will reach into the low to mid 60s tomorrow and
Thursday before warming into the 70s this weekend. A disturbance
will move north of our area and weaken as it approaches Thursday
night into Friday with little more than clouds expected. High
pressure regains control this weekend with an absolutely gorgeous
weekend expected.
