WEATHER SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
300 AM CDT WED MAY 27 2015

THE REGIONAL RADAR LOOP DETECTED AN AREA OF SHOWERS AND STORMS AHEAD
OF WEAK COLD FRONT STRETCHING FROM SPRINGFIELD MISSOURI THROUGH
SAINT LOUIS AND CHICAGO INTO THE GREAT LAKES REGION. THIS FRONT WILL
SLOWLY APPROACH THE AREA TODAY BRINGING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO
THE HEARTLAND. THE FRONT WILL WASH OUT OVER THE AREA TONIGHT HAVING
LITTLE AFFECT ON THE WARM HUMID FORECAST FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE
WEEK. SURFACE OBSERVATIONS SHOWED TEMPERATURES IN THE MIDDLE 60S
WITH A LIGHT SOUTH WIND. INFRA RED SATELLITE INDICATED JUST A FEW
MIDDLE AND HIGH CLOUDS OVER THE AREA.

UNFORTUNATELY ANOTHER FRONT IS EXPECTED THIS WEEKEND...MAINLY
SATURDAY THEN LIFT BACK NORTH AS WARM FRONT SUNDAY. THIS IS
UNFORTUNATE MAINLY DUE TO ALL THE GRADUATIONS PLANNED THIS WEEKEND.
BACKUP OR INDOOR PLANS WOULD PROBABLY BE PRUDENT AT THIS JUNCTURE.
OTHERWISE THIS FRONT SHOULD BRING A COOL DOWN FOR THE WEEKEND INTO
EARLY NEXT WEEK. SOME STRONG OR EVEN AN ISOLATED SEVERE STORM WILL
BE POSSIBLE SATURDAY OR SATURDAY NIGHT. &&
