PERSISTENT CLOUD COVER MADE FOR A DREARY THURSDAY ACROSS MUCH OF THE
HEARTLAND. LOW TEMPERATURES FROM EARLY THURSDAY WERE IN THE UPPER
60S AND LOWER  708S. AREAS REMAINING UNDER OVERCAST SKIES HAD ONLY
WARMED TO 80 DEGREES BY EARLY AFTERNOON...WHILE PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN
ILLINOIS AND SOUTHEAST MISSOURI CLEARED AND REACHED THE MID 80S.

SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES CONTINUE THIS EVENING IN SOUTHEAST
MISSOURI AND WESTERN KENTUCKY...WITH HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE AT TIMES.
ENJOY A DRIER AND SEASONABLY COOL DAY FRIDAY...WITH HIGHS IN THE
UPPER 80S BECAUSE TYPICAL JULY HEAT RETURNS FOR THE WEEKEND.

FOR THE WEEKEND INTO NEXT WEEK...EXPECT A SMALL CHANCE OF
