Lower level cloudiness continued across the Quad State region over
southern sections of West Kentucky, with higher level clouds
across the remainder of the region. The cloud cover continued
to thin out somewhat overnight.
With the exception of a cool 68 degree high temperature in
Owensboro Indiana, nearly uniform temperatures in the lower 70s
dominated the rest of the region.
Moisture wrapping around an intensifying area of low pressure
aloft in the Southeast U.S. will bring a small chance of showers
to part of the Quad State region on Friday, generally stretching
along the Wabash River bordering Southeast Illinois and Southwest
Indiana, southward to the Land Between the Lakes in West Kentucky.
As the upper low moves further away from the area, dry conditions
will prevail across the Quad State region through the weekend and
into early next week. The next chance for rain does not return
until next Wednesday, when a slow moving cold front works into the
area from the west.
Temperatures will start out nearly 10 to 15 degrees below normal
going into the weekend, but will rebound to near normal by next
