Crisp frosty morning was seen with lows ranging from 15 in Mount
Vernon, IL to 25 in Sikeston, MO with clear skies and light winds.
Surface high pressure overhead has resulted in mostly sunny
conditions today and light winds generally under 10 mph.
Temperatures have rebounded into the mid 30s from Evansville and
Mount Vernon, IL to the low 40s in Paducah and mid 40s in Poplar
Bluff.

High pressure will move off to our east and unsettled weather will
be seen Friday through the weekend. Scattered shower activity will
persist in every time period from Friday afternoon through Saturday
evening but there will be several dry hours as well. Rain intensity
and coverage increases late Saturday night into Sunday with
thunderstorms possible as well. Rainfall amounts could be
approaching one inch with localized heavier amounts. A strong storm
can`t be ruled out on Sunday. Temperatures will warm into the 50s on
Saturday and near 60 for Sunday. In the wake of the weekend storm
system temperatures will drop early next week back into the 40s for
highs and lows in the 20s by Tuesday with dry conditions.
