NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
335 PM CDT Wed Apr 9 2014
Skies were mostly clear across the lower Ohio valley this
afternoon. Temperatures ranged from the lower to mid 60s and winds
were generally out of the southwest to west at 5 to 10 mph.
High pressure should keep the region dry through Thursday. Gusty
southerly winds on the back side of the high will push temperatures
into the 70s on Thursday. The approach of a frontal boundary will
bring chances of showers and isolated thunderstorms to the area Thursday
night. Shower and isolated thunderstorm chances will continue
Friday into Friday evening as the boundary becomes stationary
over the region. With the boundary lifting back to the north as a
warm front on Saturday, it should keep the region dry through
Saturday night. A second storm system will bring widespread
showers and thunderstorms to the area from Sunday through Monday
night, with the best chances being Sunday night and Monday.
Temperatures will remain at or above normal through Sunday, then
back to below normal through the middle of next week.
