Scattered showers impacted mainly southeast Missouri and western
Kentucky and the southern tip of Illinois this evening but moved
out of the area by midnight or so. It remained mainly cloudy
across parts of the area for the rest of the night with a mix of
low and high level clouds. Temperatures ranged from the upper 20s
to lower 30s across the north to the upper 30s south.
High pressure and dry weather will return to the area today.
Temperatures will warm into the 50s today. However, as southerly
flow increases across the area early next week, we will be looking
for highs into the 60s on Monday and possibly near 70 degrees by

Wednesday as a frontal boundary arrives from the northwest. The
precipitation will be rain on Tuesday night, but may mix with some
snow on Wednesday before ending. The rest of the week will be
dry...with temperatures making a gradual climb after the midweek
