THE COMBINATION OF TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 90S AND
HIGH HUMIDITY LEVELS WILL CAUSE HEAT INDICES TO TOP OUT AROUND
105 DEGREES THIS AFTERNOON GENERALLY ALONG AND WEST OF A LINE FROM
CARBONDALE ILLINOIS TO PADUCAH TO MAYFIELD KENTUCKY.

PERSONS WORKING OR PLANNING TO SPEND MUCH TIME OUTSIDE THIS
AFTERNOON IN THESE AREAS SHOULD TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS AND DRINK
PLENTY OF FLUIDS. IF POSSIBLE...STAY IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED
ENVIRONMENT AND STAY OUT OF THE SUN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
