THE COMBINATION OF TEMPERATURES AROUND 90 DEGREES AND INCREASING
HUMIDITY WILL RESULT IN HEAT INDEX VALUES BETWEEN 100 AND 105 THIS
AFTERNOON. THE MAIN IMPACT WILL BE ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST
MISSOURI...SOUTHERN ILLINOIS...AND WESTERN KENTUCKY...PRIMARILY
WEST OF INTERSTATES 57 AND 24 IN ILLINOIS...AND A PADUCAH TO
MAYFIELD LINE IN KENTUCKY.

SIMILAR CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED ON SUNDAY BEFORE EVEN HOTTER
AND MORE HUMID WEATHER TAKES HOLD EARLY IN THE WORK WEEK. HEAT
INDEX READINGS WILL LIKELY REACH OR EXCEED 105 DEGREES BY MONDAY
AND TUESDAY AFTERNOONS.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO BE OUTDOORS TODAY...BE SURE TO DRINK
PLENTY OF WATER. TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS IN THE SHADE OR FIND A COOL
AIR CONDITIONED LOCATION. CHECK ON FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT MAY BE
MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE EFFECTS OF THE HEAT. MAKE SURE THAT PETS
