...PATCHY FOG MAY LEAD TO SLICK SPOTS ON EXPOSED SURFACES THIS MORNING...

CLEAR SKIES...COMBINED WITH CALM WINDS AND BELOW FREEZING
TEMPERATURES OVERNIGHT IS LEADING TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF FOG AND
AREAS OF FROST OVER THE QUAD STATE REGION.

THE ONLY AREA NOT EXPECTED TO BE IMPACTED BY THE FOG AND FROST WILL
BE OVER PARTS OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI...WEST OF A LINE FROM BERNIE
TO MARBLE HILL MISSOURI.

THE LIGHT FOG WILL LIKELY DEPOSIT A VERY THIN COAT OF ICE ON
ELEVATED ROADWAYS AND SIDEWALKS OVERNIGHT AND THROUGH DAYBREAK.
THIS ICE WILL APPEAR TRANSPARENT...BUT COULD CAUSE BRAKING PROBLEMS
FOR DRIVERS ATTEMPTING TO SLOW DOWN ON UNTREATED BRIDGES AND
OVERPASSES. PEDESTRIANS SHOULD ALSO USE CAUTION WHEN WALKING ON
SLOPED SIDEWALKS...PORCHES OR DRIVEWAYS THIS MORNING.

EXERCISE A LITTLE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING OR WALKING OVERNIGHT AND
INTO THE EARLY MORNING HOURS...AND TRAVEL ACCORDINGLY.

IN ADDITION TO THE FOG...FROST WILL EXIST ON GRASSY AREAS AND
OTHER EXPOSED SURFACES THROUGH DAYBREAK.

THE FOG AND FROST SHOULD THIN OUT BETWEEN 7 AM AND 9 AM THIS
MORNING.
