...Gusty winds 25 to 35 mph possible through 8 pm CDT...

A minor weather disturbance moving through extreme Southern
Illinois and the Purchase area of West Kentucky will likely
generate local wind gusts between 25 and 35 mph through sunset.

These gusts will be most notable in the vicinity of rain showers.

As this weather disturbance moves northeast around 40 mph, an
increase in moderate rainfall can be expected across Southern
Illinois from Ullin to Eddyville, with up to a quarter inch of
rain expected with isolated thunderstorms.

Additional thunderstorms may also develop from Northwest Tennessee
into the Land Between the Lakes region of West Kentucky by 8 pm
CDT.
