...TRAVEL COULD BECOME A BIT DANGEROUS THIS MORNING AND THIS EVENING...

AS A STORM SYSTEM TRACKS NORTHEAST ACROSS THE DEEP SOUTH TODAY
INTO THIS EVENING...OVERRUNNING PRECIPITATION WILL DEVELOP
GENERALLY ALONG AND SOUTHEAST OF THE OHIO RIVER WITH THE BEST
CHANCES OF SNOW ACROSS THE LAKES AND SOUTHERN PENNYRILE AREAS OF
WESTERN KENTUCKY. AT THE ONSET OF PRECIPITATION FIRST THING THIS
MORNING, IT SHOULD FALL AS SNOW BUT WITH LITTLE TO NO ACCUMULATION
EXPECTED. ANY SNOWFALL SHOULD ONLY STICK TO ELEVATED SURFACES SUCH
AS BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES.

THROUGH THE REST OF THE MORNING AND AFTERNOON HOURS...PRECIPITATION
WILL LIKELY BE A RAIN/SNOW MIX WITH TEMPERATURES RISING WELL ABOVE
FREEZING...THEN SWITCH OVER TO ALL SNOW THIS EVENING. THE HIGHEST
PROBABILITY FOR MINOR SNOW ACCUMULATIONS THIS EVENING ARE EXPECTED
TO BE SOUTH AND EAST OF A LINE FROM CENTRAL CITY TO MURRAY
KENTUCKY WHERE LESS THAN AN INCH IS EXPECTED. THIS MAY ALSO CAUSE
A FEW TRAVEL ISSUES AS TEMPERATURES DURING THIS PERIOD WILL BE
DROPPING BACK BELOW FREEZING. PERSONS TRAVELING ACROSS THESE AREAS
FIRST THING THIS MORNING AND THIS EVENING SHOULD DO SO WITH
CAUTION...SLOW DOWN...AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH THEIR
DESTINATIONS.
