...SNOW CAUSING SOME SLIPPERY CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTHERN PENNYRILE
REGION OF WESTERN KENTUCKY...

SNOW WILL GIVE ONE LAST BURST BEFORE ENDING BY MID EVENING. BEFORE
THE SNOW ENDS...MINOR ACCUMULATIONS RANGING FROM A HALF INCH TO
ISOLATED INCH AN A HALF AMOUNTS ARE ANTICIPATED. IT IS POSSIBLE
THERE COULD BE AN ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNT...BUT AMOUNTS ON ROADWAYS
WILL LIKELY BE LESS THAN ACTUALLY FALLS...DUE TO MELTING...AS
TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN JUST ABOVE FREEZING THROUGH MID EVENING.

WITH THIS LIGHT SNOW AS WITH ANY...IT WILL WET ROADWAYS AND
MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO DRIVE CAUTIOUSLY. WITH
NIGHTFALL...TEMPERATURES MAY COOL THAT EXTRA DEGREE OR TWO TO DROP
TO FREEZING...AND SOME SLICK PATCHES MAY DEVELOP...EVEN AFTER THE
SNOW ENDS. THE BEST CHANCE OF SLICK SPOTS WILL BE ON ELEVATED
SURFACES SUCH AS BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES.

WELL AFTER THE PRECIPITATION HAS ENDED...OVERNIGHT LOW
TEMPERATURES WILL ULTIMATELY DROP BELOW FREEZING TO STAY.
THIS MAY STILL RESULT IN ICY SPOTS AROUND SUNRISE WHERE ROADS
HAVE NOT DRIED OUT. PATCHY FOG THAT DEVELOPS UNDER A CLEARING SKY
WITH WETTED GROUND MAY ALSO FORM AN ICY SLICK SPOT ON ROADS AND
WALKWAYS.

IF YOU HAVE TRAVEL PLANS TONIGHT AND EARLY SATURDAY MORNING...PAY
ATTENTION TO WEATHER AND ROAD CONDITIONS. DRIVE ACCORDINGLY.
