SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT

At 1037 a.m., radar showed strong thunderstorms moving toward
Carter and Ripley counties in south central Missouri. The storms
were moving east around 30 mph. From just before 11 a.m. through
Noon, the strong storms will continue east. Pea to dime size hail
may accompany the stronger storms along with a brief period of
heavy rainfall across Carter, Ripley, and possibly Butler and
Wayne counties.

Continue to monitor for additional statements and possibly
warnings. The main hazard with today`s storms will be large hail
at or just above 1 inch in diameter.
