NORTHEASTERN JEFFERSON AND NORTHERN HAMILTON COUNTIES UNTIL 530 AM

At 506 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Wayne City, or 13 miles east of Mount Vernon, moving east at 40 mph.

Penny size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Mount Vernon, Fairfield, Wayne City, Bluford, Dix, Jeffersonville,
Sims, Mill Shoals, Mount Erie, Keenes, Golden Gate and Burnt Prairie.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
