...LOCALLY DENSE FOG POSSIBLE THROUGH SUNRISE...

THE COMBINATION OF VERY MOIST AIR...CALM WINDS AND MOSTLY CLEAR
SKIES IS SETTING THE STAGE FOR AREAS OF LOCALLY DENSE FOG ACROSS
THE QUAD STATE REGION EARLY THIS MORNING.

THE GREATEST CONCERN FOR DENSE FOG DEVELOPMENT STRETCHES FROM
CARMI THROUGH HARRISBURG AND MARION ILLINOIS...SOUTHWEST TOWARD
CAIRO ILLINOIS AND CAPE GIRARDEAU MISSOURI. DENSE FOG WILL BE
POSSIBLE ANYWHERE THAT RECEIVED SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL WITH STORMS
YESTERDAY. AN EXPECTED INCREASE IN CLOUDS AND POSSIBLY EVEN
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND SOUTHERN
ILLINOIS IS EXPECTED TO LIMIT THE AREAL EXTENT OF DENSE FOG
THROUGH SUNRISE.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TRAVEL EARLY THIS MORNING...BE PREPARED FOR
SUDDEN CHANGES IN VISIBILITY. BE SURE TO USE YOUR LOW BEAM
HEADLIGHTS AND ALLOW PLENTY OF ROOM BETWEEN YOURSELF AND OTHER
VEHICLES.
