...Gusty winds and pea size hail possible with stronger storms
through early afternoon...

A few storms across the Purchase and southern Pennyrile region of
West Kentucky may produce small hail, ranging from one quarter of
an inch to locally one half inch. In addition, northerly wind
gusts between 20 and 30 mph will be possible in and near the rain.

At 1132 am CDT...a trained spotter reported one quarter of an inch
size hail near Calvert City Kentucky.

The atmosphere across West Kentucky is quite cold aloft and is
conducive for the development of small hail. Lightning will be a
concern as well, so move indoors when lightning is near.

Most of the thunderstorm activity should move east of the Land
Between the Lakes by 1 pm and east of the West Kentucky Pennyrile
by 4 pm CDT.
