...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHWESTERN
WAYNE AND NORTHERN JEFFERSON COUNTIES IN SOUTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS UNTIL
700 PM CDT...

AT 627 PM CDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED NEAR HELM...AND
MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH. ANOTHER THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED
THREE MILES NORTHWEST OF MOUNT VERNON. THIS STORM WAS
INTENSIFYING...AND IT MAY BECOME SEVERE AS IT PASSES THROUGH THE
MOUNT VERNON AREA.

HAZARD...60 MPH WIND GUSTS AND QUARTER SIZE HAIL.

SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED.

IMPACT...HAIL DAMAGE TO VEHICLES IS EXPECTED. EXPECT WIND DAMAGE TO
         ROOFS...SIDING AND TREES.
