Missouri...Kansas...

  Little Osage River near Horton affecting Vernon County.

  Marmaton River at Fort Scott affecting Bourbon County.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Kansas...

  Little Osage River at Fulton affecting Bourbon County.

...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in
Missouri...

  Sac River near Caplinger Mills affecting Cedar County.

For the Little Osage River...including Fulton, Horton...Major
flooding is forecast.
For the Marmaton River...including Fort Scott, Nevada...Major
flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

    feet early tomorrow afternoon.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Little Osage River near Horton.

* WHEN...Until early Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 53.0 feet, flood waters reach the bottom portion of
  the I-Beam along the U.S. Highway 71 bridge at the gage site,
  north of Horton.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 49.6 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 41.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:45 AM CDT Sunday was 49.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 53.1
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage early Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 41.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    53.4 feet on 07/02/2007.

  - At 9:16 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 31.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 22.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:16 AM CDT Sunday was 31.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 31.8
    feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage
    Tuesday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    32.5 feet on 06/30/2007.

* WHERE...Marmaton River at Fort Scott.

* IMPACTS...At 47.0 feet, flood waters begin to spill over the
  bridge deck at the Marmaton River, along North National Avenue.









* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 45.6 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 38.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:30 AM CDT Sunday was 45.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 47.3
    feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early
    Tuesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 38.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    47.2 feet on 07/01/2007.
