At 342 AM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly east of
highway 69 in Oklahoma and in northwest Arkansas. Thunderstorms with
locally heavy rain were located in Crawford, Franklin and Carroll
counties in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the Fort Smith area.
Movement was to the east at greater than 40 mph. The average amount
where it rained last hour was around one quarter of an inch with
maximum amounts of two to two and a half inches. Coverage and
intensity decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast
for late tonight and into this morning, a chance of showers and
thunderstorms with temperatures 63 to 66 degrees and southwest winds
up to 10 mph along with gusts up to 25 mph.
