THE MONTHLY AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS ABOVE NORMAL. MONTHLY
PRECIPITATION WAS WELL BELOW NORMAL...AND TIED FOR THE 8TH DRIEST
NOVEMBER ON RECORD.

NOVEMBER MARKED THE END OF A RECORD WARM METEOROLOGICAL FALL SEASON.
THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FROM SEPTEMBER 1ST THROUGH NOVEMBER 30TH WAS
63.9 DEGREES...WHICH BROKE THE OLD RECORD OF 63.3 SET IN 2007. IT
WAS ALSO THE 7TH DRIEST METEOROLOGICAL FALL ON RECORD WITH ONLY 4.16
INCHES OF RAIN OVER THE PAST THREE MONTHS.

A RECORD DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 83 DEGREES WAS SET ON THE
3RD OF NOVEMBER...BREAKING THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 80 SET IN 1974.

THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 37 ON NOVEMBER 12TH WAS THE LATEST FIRST SUB-
40 DEGREE TEMPERATURE ON RECORD.

CLIMATE RECORDS HAVE BEEN KEPT AT RONALD REAGAN NATIONAL AIRPORT
SINCE AUGUST OF 1941. ADDITIONAL TEMPERATURE RECORDS FOR THE
WASHINGTON DC AREA EXTEND BACK TO JANUARY OF 1872. PRECIPITATION
RECORDS EXTEND BACK TO JANUARY OF 1871. SNOWFALL RECORDS BEGAN IN
JANUARY OF 1884.

NATIONAL CENTERS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION (NCEI).
