THE MONTHLY AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS WELL ABOVE NORMAL...AND RANKED
AS THE 6TH WARMEST JULY ON RECORD. MONTHLY PRECIPITATION WAS BELOW
NORMAL.

A RECORD DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 100 DEGREES WAS SET ON THE
25TH...TYING THE RECORD PREVIOUSLY SET IN 1930. THIS WAS ALSO THE
FIRST TIME A TEMPERATURE OF 100 DEGREES WAS OBSERVED SINCE JULY 26TH
2012.

THREE RECORD DAILY HIGH MINIMUM TEMPERATURES WERE SET LAST MONTH.
THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 81 DEGREES ON THE 25TH BROKE THE OLD RECORD
OF 79 SET IN 1965. THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 80 DEGREES ON THE 26TH
BROKE THE OLD RECORD OF 79 SET IN 1987. THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 81 ON
THE 27TH TIED THE RECORD PREVIOUSLY SET IN 1930.

THE STRETCH OF FOUR CONSECUTIVE DAYS FROM THE 24TH THROUGH THE 27TH
WHERE THE LOW TEMPERATURE FAILED TO DROP BELOW 80 DEGREES TIED FOR
THE 2ND LONGEST STREAK ON RECORD. IT ALSO HAPPENED IN JULY 2011 FROM
THE 21ST THROUGH THE 24TH. THE RECORD IS FIVE CONSECUTIVE DAYS WHICH
WAS SET FROM JULY 16TH THROUGH JULY 20TH 2012.

EACH DAY FROM JULY 22ND THROUGH JULY 28TH HAD A HIGH TEMPERATURE OF
95 DEGREES OR HIGHER. THIS TIES WITH FIVE OTHER YEARS FOR THE 5TH
LONGEST STREAK ON RECORD. THE RECORD IS 11 CONSECUTIVE DAYS SET FROM
JUNE 28TH THROUGH JULY 8TH 2012.

THE HIGH OF 74 ON THE 4TH TIED WITH 1927 AND 1909 AS THE 5TH COOLEST
HIGH TEMPERATURE OBSERVED ON INDEPENDENCE DAY.
