REMARKS...

THE 2016-2017 WINTER SEASON WAS MUCH WETTER AND WARMER THAN THE LONG
TERM AVERAGE. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES FOR THE WINTER (DEC JAN FEB)
WAS 18.3 DEGREES OR 5.7 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL...WHICH RANKS AS THE
9TH WARMEST WINTER SEASON ON RECORD.

PRECIPITATION FOR THE WINTER WAS 3.04 INCHES OR 0.90 INCHES ABOVE
NORMAL. THIS RANKS AS THE 14TH WETTEST WINTER ON RECORD.
SURPRISINGLY ONLY 25.6 INCHES OF SNOW FELL THIS WINTER SEASON AS
MULTIPLE FREEZING RAIN AND RAIN EVENTS OCCURRED WHICH ENDED UP
LIMITING SNOWFALL AMOUNTS. THE SEASON ENDED UP 3.8 INCHES BELOW THE
NORMAL 29.4 INCHES.
