...THE FOLLOWING RIVERS ARE FORECAST TO RISE NEAR OR ABOVE FLOOD
STAGE WITHIN THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS...

Rifle River at Sterling...Au Sable River at Red Oak...Manistee
  River at Sherman

* Rain has been falling since Sunday...with totals of 1.0 to 1.5
inches common at this time. Rain is expected to become heavier
again this afternoon and tonight...with 2 to 5 inches of total
rainfall through Tuesday. This will likely push multiple northern
Michigan rivers above flood stage as soon as Tuesday.

Flooding is most likely on the Manistee River near Sherman, and
the Rifle River near Sterling. Flood warnings may be issued for
  these rivers later today.

All people with interests along northern Michigan rivers and
streams should frequently monitor water levels this week.
