.A STRONG UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS THE REGION OVER THE
HOLIDAY WEEKEND...BRINGING WIDESPREAD HEAVY RAINFALL TO WEST
CENTRAL TEXAS. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED...
WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS. ALREADY SATURATED SOILS WILL BE
UNABLE TO HANDLE ADDITIONAL RAINFALL...RESULTING IN RAPID RUNOFF
AND POTENTIAL FLASH FLOODING. THE MOSTLY LIKELY PERIOD FOR HEAVY
RAINFALL WILL BE SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

  JONES...KIMBLE...MASON...MCCULLOCH...MENARD...NOLAN...
  RUNNELS...SAN SABA...SCHLEICHER...SHACKELFORD...STERLING...
  SUTTON...TAYLOR...THROCKMORTON AND TOM GREEN.

* FROM 10 AM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH 10 AM SUNDAY MORNING.

* WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL
  ACROSS WEST CENTRAL TEXAS. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE
  EXPECTED...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS. THE GREATEST THREAT FOR
  FLASH FLOODING WILL BE SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO THE OVERNIGHT
  HOURS.

* RAPID RUNOFF FROM SATURATED SOILS WILL RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING
  OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS...LOW LYING AREAS...AND URBAN AREAS.
  ADDITIONAL FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE ALONG RIVERS AND CREEKS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT HEAVY RAINFALL MAY LEAD TO FLASH
FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
