THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A

* ARROYO AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  WEST CENTRAL SOCORRO COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW MEXICO...

* UNTIL 815 PM MDT

* AT 638 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  HEAVY RAIN DUE TO SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ABOUT 6 MILES WEST OF
  MAGDALENA ALONG HIGHWAY 60. RADAR ESTIMATED UP TO AN INCH HAS
  FALLEN WITH THESE STORMS IN ADDITION TO AN INCH THAT FELL WITH
  STORMS EARLIER IN THE DAY. THESE STORMS MAY PRODUCE BETWEEN HALF
  AN INCH AND AN INCH OF ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OVER THE AREA. THIS
  WILL CAUSE DITCHES TO FILL WITH WATER AND WATER LEVEL RISES IN
  NEARBY CREEK BEDS. PONDING OF WATER ALONG HIGHWAY 60 MAY BE
  POSSIBLE AS WAY SO USE CAUTION DRIVING THROUGH THIS AREA.

REMEMBER...DITCHES ARE DEADLY.  A GENTLE FLOW OF WATER CAN BECOME A
RAGING TORRENT IN A MATTER OF MINUTES.

THE HEAVY RAINFALL AND SLOW MOVEMENT OF THESE STORMS MAY RESULT IN
FLOODING OF ROAD INTERSECTIONS AND LOW-LYING
AREAS.  WATERS MAY BEGIN TO RUN IN NORMALLY DRY ARROYOS.
